Course Description

This class is perfect for those who love singing, are interested in learning basic musical foundations, and want to have fun! Students will learn how to read musical scales, values of notes and more through fun games and activities. They will apply those skills by participating in group numbers, as well as performing solos. This class suits ages 5 through 13, beginner and intermediate. No prior musical knowledge necessary.

Instructors

Danielle Lorentzen is excited to to be teaching her third term of GLA. Musical Theatre has always been one of her biggest passions and she couldn’t be more thrilled to share her love and knowledge of the art with her students. Danielle co-founded Ghostlight Productions with husband Mark Lorentzen and is the former president of the board.

Mark Lorentzen studied musical theater and classical voice at University of Nevada Reno and BYU.  Favorite last roles include: Jean Valjean— Les Misérables, Ren— Footloose, Frederick— The Pirates of Penzance, and Gabe— Next to Normal.  He is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Ghostlight Productions.
