Course Description

What does it mean to be an “actor”? Are you a “Method” actor, or use the Meisner Technique? Or maybe something else?

This class will discuss the various schools of thought regarding the skill of being an actor, teach you tricks of the trade that you can use to help develop your character now, and provide you with food for thought of where you might want to go next to pursue your dream of being a working actor in the future.

Ron Graham

Ron Graham has been a working actor for over 30 years, including 8 years in the greater Los Angeles area where acting was his only source of income. His credits include film, TV, commercial and live action shows, not to mention credits in over 100 theatrical productions of plays and musicals.

Last seen in Ghostlight Productions’ presentation of Mamma Mia, his theatrical credits include multiple regional musical theatre productions of South Pacific, Guys and Dolls, Oliver!, and Titanic. He has also performed in a variety of plays by writers as varied as Shakespeare, Noel Coward, Agatha Christie, Peter Shaffer, and Aaron Sorkin.

His experience and training in acting and the art of auditioning is extensive. Coupled with ten years experience as a private vocational instructor, his goal is to make every class fun, informative, and geared toward giving his students a better understanding of the business of acting and improving their chances of getting cast in the future.
